Reading and Course Reflection

In Liz Blazer's "Animated Storytelling," she concludes the book by summing up how to successfully release a film. To do this, you start by packaging the project. This is done by design, clear communication and following directions. Checking for passwords that access an online video and making sure all assets are complete under film festival guidelines are key. Film festivals look for clean titles and logos, a synopsis with a hook, tags, a director's bio and a comprehensive story on the film.

The next step Blazer recommends is choosing where to showcase your film. Choosing the right platform for your film is important as it helps find your target audience. Networking also plays a huge role in film, as it does in any communications field. Networking with peers, marketing your work and networking in person all help in spreading your brand. Lastly, Blazer recommends in constantly sharing your work while making sure it's precise.
